Welcome to the Angelus, Kansas!
Angelus is a small farming community located in the very southwestern corner of the county. Its rich history has caught the eye of many, as German families from Nebraska settled in this town in 1881. The centerpiece of Angelus is its historic Catholic church, built in 1887 along with a parochial school that functioned until 1999. Now, even with only dirt roads and a stop sign intersection, the town is still busy with tractors driving through daily and Sunday morning church services. The annual Bingo night at the Knights of Columbus building is a popular event amongst the locals.
