With up to $10,000 in financial incentives per business, this program is a direct investment in the future of our local economy and workforce.

What is the Program?

Made possible through a $60,000 grant from the Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center Inc., this program helps employers fill critical, hard-to-fill positions across key industries including:

  • Agriculture

  • Education

  • Healthcare

  • Public Service

  • Administration

  • Skilled Trades

  • Small Business

The program also supports entrepreneurs and remote workers who are ready to relocate and build a future in Sheridan County.

What’s Included?

Eligible businesses can receive up to $10,000 per 12-month period to use toward:

  • Relocation assistance

  • Employee sign-on bonuses

  • Housing support

  • Other creative recruitment strategies

Priority is given to full-time positions offering a wage of at least $15.50/hour or $32,500/year, with the job located in Sheridan County.

Who Can Apply?

  • Employers: Must publicly post the open position (e.g., ConnectNWK.org, KansasWorks.com) and act as the primary recruiter.
